Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic

Serving pets and their people since 1955

JESS was born in Mountain View in 1991. We think she was a mix of Sheltie and Afghan hound. She was taken to the Santa Clara Humane Society as a tiny pup, where she and Bron found each other.

For most of her life, Jess came to work at the clinic with Bron every day. Jess was our Security Officer and Social Director. If there were animals in "intensive care" she stayed with them and slept near them in her basket. If dogs were unhappy about their visit to their veterinarian she relaxed in the lobby to show them there was nothing to worry about. She had a job to do, and quietly went about it. At home, she barked at the mail carrier and chased her tail and was a proper dog. She had 4 cat "siblings" at home and actually preferred cats to dogs. Her most favorite thing was to go for a walk.

Jess lived a full and happy 16 years, but gradually her health began to decline and she passed away on September 23. She will be missed by all of us.
