We know that losing a pet is difficult. If you feel that you need additional support or grief counseling, please look into the resources below.

  • SAGE Pet Caregiver Support Group - A free support group offering a safe place for individuals and families to express their feelings and talk about their experiences related to the care of a pet who is receiving ongoing treatment for any illness, or for those who have experienced the loss of a pet.
    • Register for the support group before attending by emailing: Socialwork@SageCenters.com
    • Meets Virtually – Second Wednesday of each month 7-8:30 pm
    • Meets in Person at Sage Campbell- Fourth Saturday of each month 10-11:30 am

  • Peninsula Humane Society Pet Loss Support Group - A free support group led by a professional counsellor that is “designed to help anyone grieving the death, loss, or terminal illness of a beloved companion animal”.
    • Meets Virtually -Second Thursday of every month 7pm-8pm
    • No need to register or RSVP ahead of the meeting
